Father an internee
[edit]Conti's father Alfonso was interned during World War Two at Peel on the Isle of Man. He narrowly escaped being one of the 805 who died aboard the SS Arandora Star, after his mother secured Alfonso's release by bribing a high-ranking police officer with £2,000: [1]Martinevans123 (talk) 19:48, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
